After you arrive in Managua International Airport (MGA) head north for 133 kms (83 miles) to Chinandega about 2.5 hours by taxi. From Chinandega head towards Apotentillo Beach and Marina Puesta del Sol for about an hour then turn left when you see the sign for Nicaragua Escape.
The turn off is when you get your first good view of the waves about halfway between fishing villages of Aposentillo and Asseradores.
