The lodge is located less than one hour northwest of the city of Chinandega.

The beach house is located just outside the town of Jiquilillo, a small fishing village about one hour northwest of Chinandega. It’s on the main road just after the school.

Cofounder and surfer, Bodhi Portugal, had spent years surfing and wind surfing in Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, the Caribbean, Indonesia, Hawaii and Spain when he found himself surfing Playa Maderas in San Juan Del Sur, not enjoying the crowded waves. He heard a rumor of a small fishing village to the north – that was 7 years ago and much has happened since then. Bodhi moved there because of the world class waves and the beauty of the area.
